Blessings Pt.3

Joshua 1:7-8 [7] "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.

To recap from Blessings Pt.2, it is from the law of God that we get knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Let's listen to what God has to say here.

[8] This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success."

By being careful to do all the law which Moses commanded, we may have success wherever we go.

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 [17] “Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ [18] But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day,”

Read the definition of power below.

Power:

The ability or capacity to act or do something effectively.

A specific capacity, faculty, or aptitude.

Physical strength or force exerted or capable of being exerted.

This is what God says He gives us in order to create wealth. The specific ability or capacity to create wealth effectively.

Success is not money alone, but God's blessing from obedience and faithfulness that generates the power to create godly wealth.

All of the promises of God are "Yes, in Christ." Christ upholds everything!

When God says that He will bless us and prosper us, He does it. This is why tithing is so important. You are not giving your money to the Church, rather you are giving 10% of your income to God, as He Himself commands that you do. God says that by remembering Him, and giving Him our first fruits, He will bless us so that our baskets are overflowing.

You have to pay God first out of your income, before you pay any bills, the very first person you pay is God. Give Him His due, and paying everything else will not be a problem.

God delights in the prosperity of His people. When His people who are called by His name, are prosperous and successful, it reflects well on Him.
